The Cubs' young prospects have been making waves at Cubs camp.

Owen Caissie, Matt Shaw, Kevin Alcantara, and others showcased impressive skills during the early stages of spring training.

MLB.com took note and recently unveiled their updated rankings, placing the Cubs as having the second-best minor league system across baseball.

"The Cubs haven’t seen this level of prospect talent since their top ranking in 2015, which played a pivotal role in ending their 108-year World Series drought the following season," they remarked. "This time, they boast even greater pitching depth, potentially laying the foundation for sustained competitiveness. Notably, four of their seven Top 100 prospects were acquired through trades (Crow-Armstrong, Caissie, Busch, Alcántara), while Horton and Shaw, both first-round picks from the past two drafts, continue to enhance their value."

For Cubs fans, this news signals an exciting influx of talent to the Northside and a bright future.
