Cubs News: Fan favorite Kawasaki sent back to the minors

The Chicago Cubs sent down infielder Munenori Kawasaki back to Triple-A Iowa on Monday according to the Cubs official transactions page.

He is batting .271 (55-for-203) with nine doubles, one triple, and 11 stolen bases in 61 games with Iowa this season.

For his major league career, he is batting .235 (144-for-614) with 16 doubles, one homer and a .315 on-base percentage in 264 major league games.
