Cardinals announcer mocks Christopher Morel's home run celebration

'The Cardinal Way' must be for players to be boring.

Cardinals announcer Jim Edmunds was not a fan of Cubs third baseman Christopher Morel's home run trot around the bases in the win against the Cardinals on Sunday.

"[Christopher Morel's] celebration is a joke," Edmunds said on the telecast. "I don't mind saying it at all. I've never seen anything like it. I just don't get it. You're a .229 hitter in the big leagues, and you're running around like you're Barry Bonds."

Morel ended up hitting two homers during the game so that probably wasn't that much fun for Edmunds to sit through.

For the season, Morel is hitting .202 with 18 homers and 50 RBIs.

Edmunds even made fun of a fan who caught some home runs in the cheap seats during the contest.

"He's also taking up plenty of room out there in the outfield," Edmunds said.

It's a really bad look for Edmunds to call out a player on a rival team and also make fun of someone's size in the stands.
