Chicago PD with funny response to Bryant's tickling incident

by - Senior Writer -

CHICAGO — After mulling it over for a day, the Chicago Police Department's 14th District revealed via Twitter that it decided not to pursue charges against Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant for aggravated tickling.

All in jest, of course, the humorous tweet referenced Bryant's play-fight with former teammate Starlin Castro (now of the Miami Marlins) in the Cubs' game with the Marlins on Tuesday.

Taking place during a bench-clearing confrontation, Bryant chose not to succumb to anger and, instead, playfully tickled an old friend.

As a result, the Chicago Police Department used it as an opportunity to commend Bryant and highlight the proper approach to diffusing heated situations.

Bryant may not be off the hook quite yet, though, as the Cubs' "kangaroo court" that the tweet mentioned could jump all over the opportunity to lay down the law.
