The Chicago Cubs (84-67) will battle the Brewers at 7:10 p.m. CDT on Thursday night televised on CSN Plus and MLB Network. The Cubs are in sole possession of first place ahead of the Brewers by 3.5 games in the National League Central division.

Righty veteran Jake Arrieta makes his return from his hamstring injury and will start for the defending World Champions opposed by Zach Davies. In 2017, Arrieta has a 14-9 record with a 3.48 ERA and 157 strikeouts. He needs one win to become the first Cubs pitcher to record three straight 15 win seasons since Greg Maddux from 1988-1992.
