Cubs News: Marcus Stroman injury update |
The Stro show didn't last very long in London on Sunday.
Chicago Cubs standout pitcher Marcus Stroman exited in the fourth inning of Sunday's game after shaking his pitching hand multiple times throughout the inning. He left with the athletic trainer, and the Cubs have updated the injury reason as they said announced that he had a blister on his right index finger. They decided to remove him from the contest before it got any worse and became more of a serious problem. His final stat line was 3.1 innings pitched, giving up nine hits, six runs, a walk, and two strikeouts. Marcus Stroman could be seen giving his pitching hand a shake multiple times throughout the 4th. That included after each of his final four pitches before departing. Marcus Stroman has had blister problems before...in 2017 he blasted MLB for the baseballs themselves, saying there was a blister "epidemic."
