Cubs trade for former Cubs catcher with Diamondbacks

The Chicago Cubs have acquired former Cubs catcher PJ Higgins from the Arizona Diamondbacks for cash considerations, according to multiple reports on Sunday.

Higgins has hit .317 in Triple-A this season with six homers, 46 RBs, 15 doubles and 33 walks.

In 2022, Higgins had a .693 OPS with 6 home runs in 74 games with the Cubs. Overall, he played in 83 games with the Cubs from 2021-2022.

Higgins was drafted by the Cubs in 2015.
