Washington Nationals Dusty Baker spoke to the media on Thursday afternoon and shared that Stephen Strasburg would not be available to pitch against the Cubs in the National League Championship series if they win tonight against the Dodgers.

On Monday, Strasburg had elbow discomfort during a bullpen session that was cut short and the Nationals have apparently decided to shut him down for the rest of the season.

Strasburg was 15-4 with a 3.60 ERA with 183 strikeouts and 1.10 WHIP this season. For his career, he is 69-41 with 1084 strikeouts and 1.09 WHIP.

"I got up, said my prayers like I always do, I got a cup of coffee, and then I packed for Chicago," Baker said to reporters about the possibility of playing the Cubs.
