After struggling for a few days, Chicago Cubs standouts Ian Happ and Dansby Swanson showed signs of life as they had two hits and combined for two RBIs in the Cubs 5-2 win over the San Diego Padres on Thursday.
The Cubs had nine hits, including three homers in the game as their league-best team batting average continued to rise. Chicago will now head out East for a seven-game trip which starts with three against the Miami Marlins on Friday.

The Cubs will head to Miami to face the Marlins on Friday, where RHP Marcus Stroman (2-2, 2.17) will battle LHP Jesus Luzardo (2-1 3.62).
