Chicago Cubs standout pitcher Marcus Stroman threw six shutout frames, and the Cubs offense scored four in the 8th inning to bring home the 4-0 victory against the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday night.

Despite some early traffic that forced him to throw more pitches than he would have liked, Stroman continued to dazzle and gave the Cubs six shutout innings of two-hit, five-strikeout ball.

That makes three of his four starts six-inning, shutout starts as his ERA fell to 0.75 for the season.

Stroman is now the third Cubs pitcher in the team’s history to allow two or fewer runs total in his first four starts of the regular season with Steve Stone and Jason Hammel.
