Roster Move: Cubs activate Keegan Thompson from paternity list, option reliever |
CHICAGO – The Chicago Cubs today activated right-handed pitcher Keegan Thompson from the paternity list and optioned LHP Luke Little to Triple-A Iowa.
Thompson, 29, has appeared in 11 games for the Cubs this season, including two since his most recent recall June 15. He is 1-1 with one save, a 4.30 ERA (7 ER/14.2 IP) and 23 strikeouts, compared to seven walks. Little, 23, is 2-1 with a 4.35 ERA (10 ER/20.2 IP) in 23 games—one start—for the Cubs this season. The Cubs host the New York Mets today at 1:20 p.m. CT in a game that can be seen on Marquee Sports Network and heard on 670 the Score.
