Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras hit his second solo homer against the Cardinals to put the Cubs up 2-0 on Friday night.

It was his third and fourth home runs of the season and his first multi-homer game of his major league career. It was his hardest-hit homer ever off the bat at 113.6 MPH.

Six of his 16 career home runs have been against the rival Cardinals. Overall, 13 of the last 15 homers by the Cubs have been of the solo variety.

Cardinals starting pitcher Mike Leake had not given up a home run in over 50 innings before the two blasts by Contreras.
