WATCH: Happ, Bellinger, Hosmer rally in ninth inning against Marlins |
The Chicago Cubs continued their streak of not being shut out this season as they rallied to tie the game against the Miami Marlins on Sunday.
The Cubs found themselves down 2-0 heading into the bottom of the ninth inning, but they were able to tie the game thanks to clutch hits from Ian Happ, Cody Bellinger, and Eric Hosmer. The rally started with a leadoff single by Happ, who has been hot all season. Bellinger stepped up and delivered a clutch double to score Happ and cut the Marlins' lead in half. With one out and a runner on second, Hosmer then came up and singled to center field, scoring Bellinger and tying the game. Matt Mervis struck out looking to end the inning and we are headed to extra innings. Check out the rally in the ninth: CUBS! pic.twitter.com/qjwM7crLfk
