Cubs reduce Spring roster to 35 players

The Chicago Cubs today optioned right-handed pitcher Spencer Patton to Triple-A Iowa, reducing their spring roster to 35 players.

Chicago's spring roster of 35 players consists of 18 pitchers (two non-roster invitees and one D.L.), four catchers (one non-roster invitee), eight infielders (one non-roster invitee) and five outfielders (one non-roster invitee).
