'Frank the Tank' with another honor.

Chicago Cubs first baseman Frank Schwindel was named National League Rookie of the Month for September. It was his second straight honor of this prestigious award.

For September through October 3rd, he hit .344 with seven homers, 22 RBIs, .988 OPS, 160 wRC+, and had an impressive 18 extra-base hits.

He is the first Cubs rookie to win this in back-to-back award months and the first NL position player to win two straight since Juan Soto in 2018.

Look for Schwindel to get a few Rookie of the Year votes and possibly come into the top five in the voting, which would certainly be an accomplishment if that happened.

The Cubs got Schwindel off of waivers from the A's two weeks before the trade deadline.
