WATCH: Anthony Rizzo goes 'oppo' with two-run shot |
SAN DIEGO — Giving the Chicago Cubs their third home run of the night, first baseman Anthony Rizzo went "oppo" by driving a two-run dinger out to left field in the top of the seventh at Petco Park on Tuesday. The two-out 386-footer increased the Cubs' commanding lead over the San Diego Padres to 7-0.
Rizzo hit a two-run double in the previous inning, and his sixth homer of the season resulted in "Big Rizz" having four RBIs in the contest and 26 RBIs on the year. Reliever Nabil Crismatt was taken deep on an 81.1-mph changeup. The round-tripper left the yard at 100.5 mph and 30 degrees, scoring left fielder Joc Pederson in the process.
