The 416-foot solo shot came in the bottom of the third, giving the Cubs a 3-0 lead over the Atlanta Braves at Wrigley Field.
Starter Huascar Ynoa, who also gave up Contreras' first-inning homer, got taken deep on a 96.6-mph four-seamer in the third. Contreras smoked it off the bat at 110.5 mph. The dinger, Contreras' fifth of the year, sported a launch angle of 21 degrees.
