Bears announce players out vs. Packers including Akiem Hicks

by - Senior Editor -

Not ideal news for a struggling Bears squad.

Standout defensive lineman Akiem Hicks has been announced inactive for tonight's game against the Green Bay Packers.

Hicks is still dealing with a hamstring injury that he suffered in the team's last game on Nov. 16.

In 10 games this season, he has 3.5 sacks.

Other Bears players that were announced inactive include quarterback Nick Foles (hip), safety Sherrick McManis (hand), offensive lineman Lachavious Simmons, receiver Javon Wims, and linebacker Trevis Gipson.

On the positive side of things, offensive lineman Charles Leno is a go tonight (toe injury). If he makes the start tonight, it will extend his streak of consecutive starts to 88.

For the Packers, their inactive list include quarterback Jordan Love, running back Tyler Ervin, cornerback Josh Jackson, and linebacker Jonathan Garvin.
