ESPN analyst believes that Jayden Daniels is better than Caleb Williams |
Booger McFarland recently appeared on ESPN's popular show "Get Up" with Mike Greenberg, where he shared his thoughts on Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams.
McFarland suggested that Williams might be overrated compared to the No. 2 overall pick, fellow quarterback Jayden Daniels. "Don't be surprised if midway through the season we're having a conversation very similar to what we had last year," McFarland said. "Just like we discussed the No. 2 pick, Jayden Daniels, potentially outperforming the No. 1 pick, Caleb Williams, much like the comparisons we made between C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young last year." McFarland and many others have high expectations for Daniels. "There's a lot of buzz coming out of Washington about Jayden Daniels," McFarland said. "Not only does he look impressive, but his teammates also believe in his abilities. Meanwhile, I think Caleb Williams might struggle, and I expect Jayden Daniels to start the season strong." McFarland also predicted that discussions about whether the draft picks were the right choices will continue into the future. "We're going to revisit the question of whether the Chicago Bears made the right pick," he said. “I think Caleb Williams is going to struggle, and I think Jayden Daniels is going to come out the gate flying.”
