I've invented a new stat that predicts the efficiency of center fielders throwing out a runner trying to stretch a single into a double based on the fielder's first step toward or back from the sound of the bat. PECOTA is becoming increasingly ridiculous as is the over reliance on stats. Nice article, thanks!
