I disagree. For example, Hoerner with Morrell behind him at SS is excellent! The Cubs don't need a budget-busting multi-year deal with a shortstop. Trusting Rickets' staff knows this and invests much better.

Virtually flooding the Cubs 2023 team with ripened prospects and giving them big league shots is the brilliant move. (Beats filling AAA with placeholders.)
