I am all in favor of retiring #34 for Kerry Wood. However I think it is a bit of a stretch for Jon Lester. Unless he finds some miracle pitch, he is done.

I think it was a fun read...certainly both guys are fan favorites -- not sure either deserve it right now but maybe if they continue to be part of the Cubs organization in various roles.

Has nothing to do with Lester being done or not. He was a huge part of their title run and should have his number retired.
