Javy Baez ranked No. 9 ranked shortstop in MLB

February 3, 2021 – Chicago Cubs shortstop Javier Báez was ranked ninth on MLB Network’s annual Top 10 Shortstops Right Now! program last night. Two-time All-Star Báez finished one spot ahead of the Chicago White Sox’s Tim Anderson and one spot behind the Toronto Blue Jays’ Bo Bichette. In addition to Báez, teammate Anthony Rizzo ranked sixth on Top 10 First Basemen Right Now! on January 20 and Willson Contreras ranked fourth on Top 10 Catchers Right Now! on January 12.
