WATCH: Highlights of Bears' high-flying matchup with Lions

by - Senior Writer -

CHICAGO — The Chicago Bears (5-7) have pulled off their fair share of fourth-quarter comebacks this season, but they were on the losing end of one on Sunday. Giving up two touchdowns in the final 2:18, the Bears squandered a lead down the stretch against the Detroit Lions (5-7) and lost their sixth game in a row. The Lions overcame a late 10-point deficit at Soldier Field and won the action-packed NFC North contest 34-30.

On the bright side for Chicago, the Bears' offense fared well in Week 13, with quarterback Mitchell Trubisky orchestrating several impressive drives. Running back David Montgomery and jack-of-all-trades Cordarrelle Patterson showed out in the run game for the Bears and combined for three rushing scores. Also of note, Bears tight end Cole Kmet scored a receiving touchdown on a Trubisky throw, and Bears defensive tackle Bilal Nichols garnered an interception.
