WATCH: Kyle Schwarber sings during seventh-inning stretch at Cubs-themed musical

CHICAGO — Chicago Cubs left fielder Kyle Schwarber made a guest appearance at a Royal George Theatre performance of the Cubs-themed musical Miracle, which is a play about a working-class Chicago family and how the family's story correlates with the Cubs' 2016 World Series run. The musical opened earlier this year, and Schwarber surprised the Cubs fans in attendance by showing up to sing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" at a recent production.

Fitting with the baseball theme, the play includes an interlude modeled after the seventh-inning stretch, in which fans join in as members of the cast sing the classic song that is sung at Wrigley Field midway through every seventh inning. Schwarber led the rendition a few days ago, and he also hyped up the Cubs supporters at the playhouse about the upcoming Crosstown Classic between the Cubs and the rival Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field. Schwarber received a standing ovation and a rousing chorus of cheers for his guest spot, as he did an excellent job of orchestrating the singing of the signature tune.
