Former Chicago Cubs catcher David Ross will be multitasking during the 2017 baseball season.
ESPN announced on Monday that Ross will be joining ESPN as an MLB analyst.
"I'm excited to dive right in and start talking baseball with my new colleagues at ESPN," Ross said in a statement. "It truly is the worldwide leader in sports and I'm grateful for the opportunity to join this incredible team. We're going to have a lot of fun this season."
However, he will also be in the role of special assistant to baseball operations for the Cubs which he will help in major league operations, player development, pro scouting and work within the front office.
Ross batted .229 with ten homers and 32 RBIs in his final season in the majors.
Two other Cubs that have worked with the team but also had a television gig are Rick Sutcliffe and Ryan Dempster.
