WATCH: Javy Baez with defensive gem

Cubs second baseman Javy Baez had a defensive gem on a ground ball up the middle in the game against the Cleveland Indians on Sunday.

Baez ranged far back up the middle while making a diving stop while still having time to gun down the runner trying to beat out the single.

His defensive ability appears to be in midseason form already for the Cubs.
