Javier Baez is out of the lineup for the second straight game for the Cubs with his right heel contusion. The team decided to have a precautionary MRI on Tuesday because the foot is still sore. “Just said it was probably wise not to play today,” Maddon said. “He just keeps using the word ‘sore,’ and I just want to make that’s all it is.” For the season, Baez is hitting .319 with 11 homers and 31 RBIs.
