WATCH: Young Cubs fan shows off flashing Javier Baez poster in stands |
CHICAGO — A young fan and his family put a lot of effort into showing off their adoration for Chicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez at Monday's night game at Wrigley Field. With the Cubs taking on the Oakland Athletics, the little boy proudly hoisted an impressive poster over his head in the stands.
The nicely decorated sign, which declared the kid's love for "El Mago," was battery-operated, as it featured flashing lights on Baez's name. Cubs broadcasters Jim Deshaies and Len Kasper commented on the impressive piece of art during their telecast, giving it the attention that it rightfully deserved. #WrigleyField Sign of the Year so far in 2019!
