Bears sign defensive lineman Jaylon Hutchings |
According to multiple reports on Sunday, the Chicago Bears have signed former Texas Tech defensive lineman Jaylon Hutchings after a workout.
NFL reporter Aaron Wilson first reported it. Hutchings was impressive during a workout with the Bulls after recovering from a torn meniscus in November. He is a former honorable-mention All-Big 12 selection and Academic All-American. He played in college for six years and, at one point, made 57 consecutive starts. This is an interesting depth piece for the Bears this season. During his time with the Red Raiders, he had 193 career tackles (108 solo), including 26.0 for a loss and 11.0 sacks. During his career, he also had two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and a pass breakup. Chicago Bears DL Jaylon Hutchings (@HutchingsJaylon) is wearing number 63.
