Chicago Cubs manager Craig Counsell updated a few injuries on his team during the media session on Monday.

First off, Cubs promising prospect Brennen Davis is currently still undergoing concussion protocol after getting hit last week in the helmet with a pitch during a game.

Davis' recovery timeline has been a bit slower than initially projected by team doctors.

He started hot offensively, hitting .429 with three hits, including a home run and three RBIs in seven at-bats this spring.

Cubs slugger Patrick Wisdom is still dealing with his quad injury and will no longer play in Tuesday's game as initially planned.

His status is currently day-to-day as he continues his treatment plan.

In other Cubs playing news, Counsell announced that Cody Bellinger is scheduled to make his spring debut on Wednesday as the team's designated hitter.

They also plan for him to play the field on Friday or Saturday if all goes well.
