DENVER — Hitting a mile-high home run while batting a mile high, Chicago Cubs left fielder Ian Happ lifted a towering solo shot to left at Coors Field on Tuesday. Happ's 11th long ball of the year, the 387-footer made the score 4-2 in favor of the Colorado Rockies in the top of the fourth.
Happ went yard off Kyle Freeland with two outs, lofting a 78.3-mph curveball off the bat at 96.2 mph and 35 degrees. The dinger marked the second run scored by Happ on the evening, who came home on a second-inning ground ball to put the Cubs up 1-0. He now has 27 RBIs to his name this season.
