WATCH: Joc Pederson goes yard again with game-tying, 401-foot two-run blast |
PITTSBURGH – Smacking his second home run of the night, Chicago Cubs left fielder Joc Pederson lined a game-tying two-run blast out to right-center on Tuesday. The 401-footer at PNC Park evened up the Pittsburgh Pirates at three runs apiece.
Pederson swatted a 368-foot solo shot earlier in the contest, and his fifth-inning blast gave the Cubs their first lead of the evening. Cody Ponce was taken deep on an 83.5-mph cutter not long after giving up a single to fellow starting pitcher Jake Arrieta. The jack, which plated Arrieta, left the yard at 102.3 mph and 24 degrees.
