Chicago Cubs veteran pitcher Kyle Hendricks is moving to the bullpen after his struggles during the early portion of the 2024 season.
The 'Professor' has been schooled this season with a winless record with a 10.57 ERA in seven starts. “We all know what’s been going on,” Cubs pitcher Kyle Hendricks said Thursday after being demoted to the bullpen. “It’s just trying to give the team the best chance to win at the end of the day. I’m honestly excited for the opportunity and the challenge in a way. It’s a big opportunity to try and turn things around. Still trying to work on things and get some game action and just try to contribute and help the team win in any way I can.” "We all know what's been going on ... just trying to give the team the best chance to win at the end of the day."
