CHICAGO — Recording his first multi-homer game as a member of the Chicago Cubs, catcher Robinson Chirinos cranked his second leadoff shot of Friday's contest at Wrigley Field when he took Arizona Diamondbacks reliever Matt Peacock deep to begin the bottom of the sixth. Chirinos also went yard to start the home half of the fourth.
The 381-foot solo shot to left-center field was given up by Peacock on an 88.6-mph slider. By way of the long ball, Chirinos tallied his third hit of the afternoon and third dinger as a Cub.
