WATCH: Sammy Sosa cuts interview short after steroid question |
Slammin' Sammy Sosa was back in the Windy City this weekend for the first time since 2007.
In a hotel lobby, Fox 32 reporter Lou Canellis caught up with him and asked him about steroid use. “This is not a question that I expected from you, this is not an interview that I really got to sit down with you (for),” Sosa said. “I feel great and let’s see what happens.” The steroid non-admission is likely the main reason that the Cubs and Sosa have not had a reunion together after his playing days. Hopefully, they can work it out because many people in the city of Chicago have many fond memories of Slammin' Sammy. He is the only player in MLB history to hit 60+ homers in three different seasons.
