WATCH: Adbert Alzolay fired up after first career extra-base hit |
MIAMI — The Chicago Cubs got off to a hot start at the plate against the Miami Marlins on Friday night. A two-run blast, which plated third baseman Matt Duffy, by second baseman David Botein the top of the first gave way to an RBI triple, which plated right fielder Ian Happ, by center fielder Johneshwy Fargas in the top of the second.
After Fargas came home on a sacrifice fly by shortstop Sergio Alcantara, putting the Cubs up 4-1, Adbert Alzolay tagged fellow starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo for a double, marking his first career extra-base hit. Alzolay was fired up in the wake of his two-bagger to left-center and expressed his excitement in the direction of the visiting dugout at LoanDepot Park. .@adbert29's first career extra-base hit! pic.twitter.com/mMPHvvS0aK
