PHOENIX — Boasting plenty of hang time, the 405-foot solo home run hit by Patrick Wisdom in the top of the seventh on Friday increased the Chicago Cubs' lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks to 3-1. The third baseman got underneath a 95.6-mph sinker and lifted it out to left at Chase Field.

Reliever Matt Peacock gave up the one-out blast on the very pitch of his outing. Wisdom garnered his 13th long ball and 24th RBI of the year by the way of the towering drive, which sailed just inside the left field foul pole, making it a fair ball. The dinger was smacked off the bat at 105.3 mph and 40 degrees.
