CHICAGO — With the second home run of the day by a member of the Chicago Cubs, catcher Robinson Chirinos belted a leadoff blast out left-center field on Friday. The 408-foot dinger kicked off the bottom of the fourth at Wrigley Field, with Arizona Diamondbacks starter Zac Gallen giving up the round-tripper.

Chirinos' second long ball in a Cubs uniform, the solo shot increased the Cubs' sizable lead to 7-0. The dinger was powered off the bat at 100.8 mph and 27 degrees, with Chirinos smoking a 91.1-mph cutter into the bleachers. Chirinos, who started in place of Willson Contreras on the afternoon, now has three RBIs as a Cub.
