Brewers desperate to fill seats on Thursday |
The Milwaukee Brewers are pretty desperate to fill their seats for the remainder of the regular season at Miller Park.
The team announced on Thursday that three Brewers players bought 7,500 tickets and wanted to say thank you to the fans. "Our fans are a big part of what we have accomplished this year, and on behalf of Hernan and Corey, we wanted to do something out of the ordinary to show how much we truly appreciate them," Braun said in a statement. "We've seen over two and a half million people come through the gates this year, and we want every one of them to know that their voices have been heard. We're fighting hard to extend the fun here through October, and we know that this last home series will be a great environment for players and fans alike." Were the free tickets being kind by the Brewers organization or were the seats going to be empty anyway? The Brewer's lack of care about the final week of the regular season is crazy for a team that has been very competitive all year long and still has a small shot at the wild card.
