Cubs have 7 players on Baseball America's Midseason Top 100 Prospect List |
Baseball America has unveiled its midseason update, and the Chicago Cubs continue to demonstrate the depth of their farm system.
Seven of their prospects rank among the top 100 in baseball. Right-handed pitcher Cade Horton leads the pack at number #31, whose impressive pitching performances have caught the attention of scouts and fans alike. Infielder Matt Shaw is followed closely at number #37, known for his versatility and strong hitting ability. Outfielder Owen Caissie lands at number #42, showcasing his power and potential in the outfield. At number #47, shortstop Jefferson Rojas continues to rake offensively and shows tremendous promise. Catcher Moises Ballesteros, ranked 60th, has improved dramatically with his emerging bat. Outfielder Kevin Alcánta,ra aka the 'Jaguar', at #75, adds to the Cubs' wealth of talent with his speed and athleticism. Rounding out the list is infielder James Triantos at # 99, whose all-around skills and consistent hitting make him a valuable asset for the Cubs' future. These rankings reflect the Cubs' commitment to building a strong foundation of young talent. Hopefully, some of these guys will make it to the big league club sooner rather than later.
