Chicago Cubs announce new multiyear partnership with Kraft Heinz

by -

CHICAGO – The Chicago Cubs and The Kraft Heinz Company (Nasdaq: KHC) (“Kraft Heinz”) today announced a new multiyear partnership, providing fans with even more ways to enjoy delicious and iconic Kraft Heinz products while at Wrigley Field.

As part of the partnership, HEINZ has been named the Official Condiment of the Cubs and Wrigley Field, with HEINZ Ketchup, Mustard, Relish and more available throughout the ballpark. Fans will also be able to enjoy and experience products from beloved brands including KRAFT Mac & Cheese, Philadelphia, Lunchables and Primal Kitchen as well as plant-based offerings from The Kraft Heinz Not Company LLC.

“With fun food offerings and Kids Sundays activities, our partnership with Kraft Heinz demonstrates our commitment to making Wrigley Field a family-friendly destination that celebrates special moments together,” said Cubs Vice President of Corporate Partnerships Alex Seyferth.

The partnership will also come to life as part of Kids Sundays at Wrigley Field. Starting Sunday, August 4, the concession stand located next to Section 120 will be converted into a KRAFT Mac & Cheese stand. Fans can build their own KRAFT Mac & Cheese bowl, choosing from a handful of different toppings to craft their own cheesy “mac hacks.” The stand will be open on Kids Sundays only, starting Sunday, August 4 through the remainder of the regular season.

“Kraft Heinz and the legendary Cubs franchise both have deep roots in Chicago, so we’re thrilled to partner to give fans an opportunity to enjoy our beloved brands’ signature offerings in new and delicious ways at iconic Wrigley Field,” said Peter Hall, President of Away From Home and Kraft Heinz Ingredients at Kraft Heinz. “Our purpose at Kraft Heinz is to make life delicious, and we aim to do that for every fan that visits the ballpark.”

Further, Clark the Cub will host a “Cooking with Clark” demonstration pregame at Gallagher Way Sunday, August 4, at 4 p.m. CT where he will whip up his favorite KRAFT Mac & Cheese combinations.

More information on where fans can experience Kraft Heinz products can be found in Wrigley Field’s concessions guide HERE.

About the Chicago Cubs

The Chicago Cubs franchise, a charter member of Major League Baseball’s National League since 1876, has won the National League pennant 17 times and was the first team to win back-to-back World Series titles in the 1907 and 1908 seasons. In 2016, the Chicago Cubs made history again when the team won its first World Series in 108 years, ending the longest championship drought in North American sports. Known for its ivy-covered outfield walls, hand-operated scoreboard and famous Marquee, iconic Wrigley Field has been the home of the Chicago Cubs since 1916 and is the second oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball. In 2009, the Ricketts family assumed ownership of the Chicago Cubs. The organization’s three main goals are: Win the World Series, Create the World’s Best Guest Experience and Be a Good Neighbor.
