Cubs News: Fowler, Soler rehab assignment update

Tony Crumpton Tony Crumpton - Senior Editor -

Chicago Cubs outfielders Jorge Soler and Dexter Fowler have both been on the disabled list with serious hamstring injuries during the first part of the season.

Soler and Fowler will both begin rehab assignments on Tuesday according to multiple reports. Fowler should only be in Iowa for a few days as Soler length might be much longer.

Before going on the disabled list on June 18 with hamstring tightness, Fowler was batting .290 with seven home runs and 28 RBI in 64 games for Chicago.

Soler is batting .223 with five homers and 13 RBIs in limited action this season.
