Cubs News: Seiya Suuzki suffers wrist injury |
Chicago Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki exited Friday's 16-0 win against the Dodgers with a right wrist injury.
“There’s some discomfort there, so just being cautionary,” Suzuki said about his injury. The issue began on Monday during a game against the Texas Rangers. “When I was sliding headfirst, I felt some discomfort,” Suzuki explained. “I was playing through it, and then today felt it a little bit, so I’m just being cautious in getting out of the game.” Suzuki was pulled from the game in the fifth inning. Cubs manager Craig Counsell said the outfielder is considered day-to-day. Suzuki is not sure how long he will be out of the lineup. “That’s something I need to talk to the doctor and the trainers about,” Suzuki said. “If it’s something that I can keep playing through and doesn’t get worse, that’s fine.” Check out his postgame interview below: Seiya Suzuki on his wrist: "There's some discomfort there.
