Cubs veteran pitcher Jon Lester spoke to reporters on Tuesday before game four of the National League Division Series.

"Nobody in there cares about a curse or a goat," Lester said to reporters. "If we make a mistake, we won't blame it on a curse. We're gonna be accountable."

Lester was second in the majors with a 2.44 ERA this season.

He also had nice words to say about the Cubs starting pitcher tonight John Lackey.

"He's definitely a guy you want on your side," Lester said.

Lackey has a 1.56 ERA in three career starts in potential series-clinching games.
