Cubs News: Schwarber named honorary captain at Indiana-UNC |
Young Cubs slugger Kyle Schwarber was named honorary captain during Wednesday night's Indiana vs. North Carolina game at Assembly Hall.
Schwarber was Chicago’s first round pick of the 2014 Draft (fourth overall) out of Indiana University and was presented a game ball and fans sang "Go Cubs Go" to celebrate Schwarber's return. In 2015, Schwarber hit .246 with 16 home runs, 43 RBIs with an outstanding .842 OPS in only 69 games (273 at-bats) in his rookie season.
