Cubs prospect lands on IL with serious injury

Tony Crumpton Tony Crumpton - Senior Editor -

This is not good news.

Chicago Cubs outfield Brennen Davis has been placed on the injured list after suffering a back fracture.

He is expected to miss a significant amount of time, and there is no timeline for his recovery.

Davis was hitting .233 for the season with ten homers and 30 RBIs.

This is another terrible setback for the promising 24-year-old prospect, who has been battling numerous injuries over the last few years.

He was drafted by the Cubs in Round 2 of the 2018 MLB Draft.
