MESA – The Chicago Cubs have agreed to 2019 contract terms with 17 players on their 40-man roster with zero-to-three years of major league service. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
The following players have agreed to 2019 contract terms: Right-handed pitchers Adbert Alzolay, Oscar De La Cruz, Dillon Maples, Alec Mills, James Norwood, Jen-Ho Tseng, Duane Underwood Jr. and Rowan Wick. Left-handed pitchers Randy Rosario and Justin Steele. Catchers Victor Caratini, Willson Contreras and Taylor Davis. Infielder David Bote. Outfielders Albert Almora Jr., Ian Happ and Mark Zagunis. Cubs sign all their 0-3 year players (17 overall). Top $$ goes to Willson ($684,000), Albert Almora Jr. ($615,500) and Happ ($603,500). The minimum is $555,000.
