Friday's Cubs-White Sox game is in a weather delay

The crosstown rivalry will have to wait a few minutes.

The Chicago Cubs announced that the start of Friday's game with the White Sox will be delayed to allow some bad weather to leave the area.

The game will start at approximately 1:35 pm. CT as it previously was scheduled to start at 1:20 pm. CT.

The tarp is currently on the field.

When the game gets underway, two standout pitchers will be on the mound with Kyle Hendricks facing off against veteran Lance Lynn.

The game can be seen on various networks, including Marquee and MLB Network.
