Kris Bryant will be cranking baseballs into Chicago River on Tuesday

Tony Crumpton Tony Crumpton - Senior Editor -

Cubs slugger Kris Bryant is set to take an official batting practice session today at 12 p.m. CST in downtown Chicago. Bryant will be cranking baseballs off his Cubs batting pitcher into the Chicago River in the same BP routine you’d see at Wrigley Field. The Urban Kayak and Harbor Safety Committee will be in the river as part of the cleaning efforts.

In 2017, Bryant is batting .267 with four RBI and a .371 on-base percentage. During Monday's home opener, he had a crucial RBI double in the Cubs 3-2 walk-off win.
